Gita Mahabir is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Lansing area who strives to help her clients gain a sense of control and inner happiness. As a collaborative counselor, she takes time to listen to her clients’ needs and helps them find the best way to establish or regain balance. She enjoys working one-on-one with her clients to develop customized plans of action. While she uses a variety of clinical techniques to help her clients, Gita has generated the most lasting results by using cognitive behavioral therapy – or action-oriented therapy – and a person-centered approach in her practice.
Gita earned her Master of Arts in Counseling from Spring Arbor University and has more than 14 years of therapy experience. She believes that addressing mental health concerns while incorporating daily healthy habits is a successful therapeutic combination.
